Our team is recruiting PhD students in the area of human-AI collaboration. We also welcome PolyU undergraduate and MSc students doing the FYP/dissertation in the related area.


The team maintains a relaxed atmosphere and actively supports students in exploring their own research directions within the broad team focus. We provide comprehensive support to ensure students graduate successfully with high-quality outcomes, as well as assistance for job applications in academia and industry both locally and internationally.


We offer the following research positions:

  • PhD studentship

  • Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (no quota limit)

  • Project-funded Postdoctoral Fellowship (regularly)

PhD Application Eligibility (Outstanding undergraduate students are welcome to apply directly):

  • Students with research experience in computer science, electronic automation, or related fields;

  • Undergraduate institutions ranked in the top 200 or relevant subjects ranked in the top 50 in QS/THE/ARWU rankings;

  • GPA of 3.6 (out of 4.0) or above, or top 10% of the class;

  • Preference is given to those with national scholarships or publications in Q1 journals (as first author);

  • English proficiency must meet one of the following conditions: Passing the IELTS (6.5) or TOEFL (80) exams; Or providing relevant documentation of full English-medium instruction (e.g., degree certificate).​
